Our client is a well established multi-national organisation with an eminent position within the IT networking industry. The company has a large presence throughout EMEA and across the world, and due to their continued growth they are currently looking to recruit Network Support Engineers to join their offices based in Chertsey, Surrey.

The Network Support Engineer will be responsible for providing support and technical assistance to internal and external customers and partners, ranging from SME to large multi-national corporations with an Internet presence. The Network Support Engineer typically spends between 3 - 4 hours per day giving telephone support for the company’s products to customers running on various operating systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Working with customers to provide excellent customer service, setting customer expectations as necessary, and taking ownership of customer issues until a solution is achieved, providing complete customer satisfaction.
- Utilising the facilities, equipment and troubleshooting tools to replicate / solve customer issues.
- Working with customers at varying levels of experience or technical capability under according time restrictions.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a technical support role.
- Strong UNIX skills.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of DNS Server.
- Minimum 2 years experience working with LAN and WAN topologies, TCP/IP protocol, and routers/switches required.
- BS or BA required, CS degree strongly preferred.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Microsoft NT and Red Hat Linux experience preferred.
- Any European language skills, especially German will be extremely desirable.
The Network Support Engineer will be able to earn a salary of between £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, with company benefits including 22 days holiday, private healthcare, family travel insurance and a budget for additional benefit options. The shift options available for this position are as follows;
Mon – Fri 9am-5pm (approx. £35,000 salary)
Mon – Fri 1pm-9pm (later shift employees will be given an extra £3,000 on top of the basic salary)
